Planning for the long-term 

In the short-term, getting people back to work may involve flexible working and shift patterns so less people can be accommodated safely within the workspace. 

However, in the longer term, to create a safer working environment, design changes which put hygiene and safety first must be made.  COVID-19 will have a long-lasting impact on the way we work and how the workplace functions in future years to come.
